Executive Protection- Bodyguard Basic

An Executive Protection Agents is a bodyguard person or group of people who professionally protect someone (known as their principal) from personal assault, kidnapping, assassination, loss of confidential information, or other threats. A privately and formally employed person who is paid to protect property, assets and/or people. Often, they are uniformed/plain clothed and act to protect property by maintaining a high visibility presence to deter illegal and/or inappropriate actions, observing (either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems or video cameras) for signs of crime, fire or disorder; then taking action and/or reporting any incidents to their client, employer and emergency services as appropriate.
They may be armed, depending on the laws in their jurisdiction, and have expertise in unarmed combat, tactical driving, and first aid. However, the most important skill for Executive Protection and Security Specialist is the ability to assess a situation and decide how best to respond to minimize danger to his principal.
Most important public figures are protected by several Executive Protection and Security Specialists who work as a unit (or even agency), using sophisticated tactics. Less-important clients (or those with lower risk profiles) are accompanied by a single Executive Protection and Security Specialist, who may double as a driver.
In multi-agent units (like those protecting a celebrity or a head of state) one or more Executive Protection and Security Specialist may specialize in specific tasks, such as: communications/communications protection operation of physical security measures (regarding premises, transport vehicles and personal armor) intelligence, threat/vulnerability/risk assessment and analysis chemical detection, crowd screening and control and other disciplines.

New York State 25-Hour Bail Enforcement

A Bail Enforcement Agent (Bounty Hunter) is an individual or entity who (for a fee) apprehends individuals who have failed to appear on bond or bail and surrenders them to the appropriate jail or to court.
T0 open your own agency NYS requires a license from the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS). To qualify for this license, one must complete training, pass a background check, and have experience in law enforcement or as an employee of a licensed private investigator/ bail enforcement agency for at least 3 years. The application process involves submitting a completed application and the required fee to the Department of State, along with proof of fingerprint completion. The student will also have to pass the New York State test. .
To work for a bail enforcement agency you must also complete this course: Staff actually engaged in the apprehension and return of a fugitive: BEA entity must maintain in its files an Employee Statement for each of its staff and submit fingerprints to the Department of State. Additionally, it must complete 25-hour training..
This course has been designed in accordance with the instructional standards and objectives established for bail enforcement training in New York State. The program provides a comprehensive 25-hour curriculum combining theoretical and practical instruction. Curriculum: New York State Licensing Law and Regulations, Liability Issues – Civil and Criminal, Rights of Bailee/Fugitive, Criminal and Civil Law Relating to Bail Bonds, Basic Concepts of Criminal Justice Law, Ethics and Professionalism, Report Writing for Bail Enforcement Agents

Private Investigator: Conducts investigations to locate the whereabouts of missing persons, finds the location and/or recovers lost or stolen property; finds the causes and origin of, or responsibility for fires, or libels, or losses, or accidents, or injuries to real or personal property. Private Investigators conduct investigations for fee, hire or reward. Private Investigator applicants must have at least three years of full-time investigative experience as an employee of a licensed private investigator or as an investigator for a government investigative agency or police agency;OR 3 years of full-time equivalent position and experience acquired in a position where the primary duties were to conduct investigations;OR 3 years of full-time experience supervising and reviewing the work of at least three people performing investigations;OR 20 years of service as a police officer, regardless of specific title;OR 20 years of service as a Fire Marshall. License qualifications:All applicants must be at least 25 years of age at the time of application and be a principal in the business. PI's must pass the license examination. You are not eligible to hold a PI license if you are a holder of an employment agency license, or are a member of a partnership or an officer or a holder of any stock in a corporation or have any financial interest or participation in the control and management of any employment agency. The New York State Private Investigator Exam covers a wide range of topics essential for private investigation practices. Here are some of the key areas that candidates should be familiar with: Legal Principles: Understanding laws related to private investigations, including privacy laws, criminal laws, and trespassing. Ethics: Knowledge of confidentiality, conflict of interest, and responsible behavior in various investigative scenarios. Report Writing: Proficiency in preparing detailed investigation reports, maintaining logs, and documenting findings. Surveillance Techniques: Practical skills such as conducting investigations efficiently while maintaining legal and ethical boundaries. Case Management: Knowledge of how to manage cases effectively and handle client communications.
The NYS Exam consists of 100 questions and has a time limit of 2.5 hours.

Watch, Guard or Patrol Agency (WGP):A Watch, Guard or Patrol Agency is a company providing security services to protect individuals or property from harm, theft, or other unlawful activity. Experience Required:The law requires every partner, officer or principal in a business to be licensed to conduct business, and one such individual in each business must provide proof of qualifying experience and pass the license examination. Watch, Guard or Patrol Agency applicants must have at least two years of full-time security experience as a sheriff, police officer, security guard in a government agency or with a licensed PI or WGP;OR 2 years of full-time equivalent position and experience acquired in a position where the primary duties were the performance of security guard duties;OR 2 years experience supervising and reviewing the work of at least three people performing security services License qualifications:All applicants must be at least 25 years of age at the time of application and be a principal in the business. WGP's must pass the license examination. You are not eligible to hold a WGP license if you are a holder of an employment agency license, or are a member of a partnership or an officer or a holder of any stock in a corporation or have any financial interest or participation in the control and management of any employment agency. The New York Watch, Guard, or Patrol Agency (WGP) License Exam covers a wide range of topics essential for security professionals. Here are the key areas you can expect to study for the exam: Security Regulations: Understanding the laws and regulations applicable to security officers in New York. Basic Security Practices: Reporting protocols, and emergency response procedures. Legal Aspects and Liabilities: Knowledge of legal powers and limits, handling of evidence, and arrest procedures. Ethical Practices: Adherence to ethical standards and professional behavior expected of security personnel. The exam typically includes around 50 questions, and you will generally have 90 minutes to complete it. It's crucial to prepare adequately to ensure you are well-equipped to pass the exam and become a licensed security professional in New York.

Tactical Handcuffing Course

Proper training in the use of handcuffs is vital to officers. Handcuffs are among the most often used tool by officers, yet training is severely lacking. Studies show that over 67% of resistance by subjects occurs after the first handcuff has been applied. All too often the result is injury and/or death to either the officer or subject. The techniques presented are practical and effective. Topics to be covered include the safest approach and positioning for handcuffing, resistive subjects, removing handcuffs, and the use of various type of cuffs, among others. The curriculum includes:Lawful use of force, Physical force in making an arrest, Submission of combative persons, De-escalating critical situations, Working with law enforcement, Use of force with 3rd parties, Restraint types, Application of restraints, Monitoring of restrained persons, Transportation of restrained persons

O.C. Pepper Spray Course

One of the most common law enforcement/ security tools in use today, this course focuses on the proper deployment of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC). The course is separated into lectured-based studies followed by practical application drills. The course covers topics such as tactical considerations, decontamination/first aid, protective masks and criminal and civil liabilities, policies and procedures.
The curriculum includes:What is O.C. (Oleoresin Capsicum), Use of Force Law, How To Choose Your O.C. Device, How To Carry, Deployment Techniques, When to Use a Defensive Spray, Multiple Applications, Effects of O.C., When To Disengage, Decontamination Procedures Upon successful completion of these courses students will be provided a certificate of completion certifying them on the use of OC / Pepper Spray products and the use of Chain, Hinged, Rigid and Disposable (Tri-Fold or 'flex' cuffs.).
Fit for Duty: These courses involve physical exercises. Students are required to actively participate in these exercises as part of their successful completion requirements. Students should be physically prepared for these classes in order to ensure successful completion of the courses. This course involves exposure to chemical agents as well as the physical exercises. Students with physical conditions that may impair their ability to participate are responsible for contacting their physician for medical clearance prior to enrollment. Conditions requiring such consultation include but are not limited to high blood pressure, heart problems, lung problems, to include bronchitis and asthma, or allergies. Damon Finch Power Sessions will not assume responsibility for any students who do not seek medical consultation prior to course participation. Any student who is unable to participate in the exercises cannot receive a certificate of completion. It is incumbent upon the student to ensure they are physically capable of meeting the requirements of the courses. Notice to students: Students of this course will be exposed to Oleoresin Capsicum as a requirement for their successful completion certificate. Students who have undergone any type of eye surgery in the past 12 months must notify the Damon Finch Power Sessions prior to enrollment in an OC Aerosol Projector course. Typically, patients who have undergone eye surgery require approximately six months for complete recovery. In order to provide the greatest margin of safety, Damon Finch Power Sessions STRONGLY advises that any student who has undergone eye surgery to delay participation in this class for a full calendar year from the date of surgery.
